Abarenbo Mama -JDrama pending ep
Minami-kun no Koibito -JDrama -pending ep
Namida wo Fuite -JDrama pending ep
Bloody Monday - JDrama (I'll soon finish it)
BUzzer Beat -JDrama (I'll try to finish it when I get used to Keiko)
Engine -JDrama (I'll soon finish it when I get to miss Kimura Takuya -so that's someday :))
Oh! My Girl! -JDrama (Mokomichi) (let's see if I'll soon finish it maybe after Aiba's My Girl!)
My Girl -KDrama (Oh good luck to me if I'd still like to watch it)
To Grow with Love -TDrama (maybe I'll finish it someday -it's too long)
Mukodono -JDrama (someday when I get to miss Nagase)
How To Meet a Perfect Neighbor -KDrama (someday too)

Today, I've seen a JMovie called Synesthesia -I'll try to finish it and if it could live up to my idea of what synesthesia and synesthetes are then maybe it could be lucky to be in my "Asian movies I've watched" list.

やっぱり!

うれし。
わたしわにほんごをかきます 「おねえーさんのlaptop」。

i'm loving my sis' laptop because of its functionality to write in Japanese characters. The desktop i'm using doesn't have it. I can now practice writing Arashi and Arashi members' name. I have to familiarize myself with their kanji names because this laptop suggests different kinds of kanji that i'm not familiar with. I want to be a proud girl that can write each of Arashi's (boys) name -at least get familiar with their kanji names hahaha I'm so shallow!

Just got home and this is really a must: ARASHI concert ikimasu! :)
I just have to think positively.

Tsukareta... watashi no shigoto wa mendokusai :)

P.S.
I've found out at work that Cory Aquino (our ex-president) passed away after her battle with colon cancer. Together with the nation, my deepest and sincere condolence to the Aquino family.

...Just got home from a dinner-get-together-meeting at one of our relative's house to celebrate our obaachan Pauling no otanjoubi (father's side). She turned 87 last July 22nd. She knows it's her birthday and she knows we're coming... Though my Lola and I spent the weekend together last time she still can't remember my name and who I was.  Funny, she's a little forgetful of our names -her grandchildren here in Manila but she has no problems with the names of her other grandchildren at her hometown in the province. Maybe, when she gets a little used to to our faces again she'll remember eventually of our names and wouldn't want to go back to her hometown... hmmm maybe forget to go back to her hometown and stay here in Manila instead.

...Oh another reason to celebrate is our Tito Allot's surprise return. He'll be staying for 2 months for a vacation here and he'll go back to work -overseas again. Nobody knew he was coming except his wife, not even his only daughter Dea knew about it so she got really shocked when they went to the airport. She thought that they'll be picking up another cousin of ours who'll be returning from a Sports competition somewhere around the globe :)

it's really been a long week and I'm now getting my full sleep now.

oYasumi nassai!

music: ??? from FM Yokohama :)

:) a little while more before Ohno's portion ... I'll try to understand again and listen for his little high-pitched voice ...

I won't worry staying up late 'cause I'm on PTO - ureshii desu!

Lola Pauling spent the weekend with us at our home from Friday night until yesterday. Also, yesterday, together with a younger cousin -Ken, our obaachan and I went out together just to keep our obaachan  busy so she won't ask to go home anymore. We went  to church as this is obaachan's hobby. It was my first time attending a mass at the EDSA Shrine and I liked it there (place is... omoshiroi) -maybe it's because it's been a long time since I went to hear mass hehehe so bad of me. Gomen ne... teehee I didn't feel sleepy too :)

Prior to that idea, I also need to meet a friend (flat mate) of Aniki for a favor too -a barong tagalog for Aniki. He-She turned out to be nice.

arashi's 2009 con (watashi no yume)

Jul. 5th, 2009 | 12:27 pm

While doing my every-other-day-shigoto in Aibakaland, I remembered a dream after learning about Arashi's concert schedule .

The dream I saw was a concert this 2009 -they are in the middle of the concert and it looked like there was something wrong with the audio system because they are trying to apologize to everyone for the inconvenience... mahgaad! In my dreams I understood their Nihongo -it really is a dream coz I get a nose-bleed understanding full Jap conversation.

Beside me was Gracey and guess what, Nakama Yukie, like we're buddies, With us were our 2 other friends from the office -that's the feeling of the dream and I knew it's Mhai and Che with us at that concert venue too.

Going back, The boys are explaining things  to the fans and to kill time/boredom too... there are talks from the back about the audio system, some even say "not like in Shanghai please"...  It looked like they didn't like the Shanghai venue too... Concert continued on, i think, it looked like it... it turned out to be a lively concert after all.

The memories when I saw their concert in Shanghai was a little like that of my dream... that it includes Nino looking at our direction!  -it happened in my dream too that made my dream feel so good that I have to write about it today though many days has passed already.

I have to write something about this feeling 'cause there are times I need to tell myself that I have lots of reason on seeing Arashi again... I even question myself too: Is it Japan I want to see, or just Arashi? or do I just like the feeling of excitement travelling overseas again? or the feeling of spending free days with my friends excites me? new experiences outside the country maybe? I gave all a check mark!... I want to do all those at the same time... expensive huh?! I thought so myself but doing all things at the same time is like applying what I do at work: MULTI-TASKING

...funny I didn't include my friend in Japan as a reason in coming to Japan hehehe she'll understand -now I realize I have to meet her too.

...the truth is, if Japan is too soon for me to visit to, any Asian country that Arashi will be visiting to would be fine for me...

Note:
...I watched episode 5 of Mr. Brain then that's why Nakama Yukie was on my dream too teehee...
...I used "our" when Nino looked in my direction, tabun, it's for my own sake! I'm not the only one who wants Nino teehee but I'm still so giggly recalling that real-life experience.

o-hisashiburi!

Jun. 29th, 2009 | 09:25 am

Ohayou! It's been awhile right...
I've had the PC checked I think 2 or 3 weeks back -had to replace the PC's memory. Eversince it came back I've been freeing up my HD with DLs and copied it onto a disc. Up to now I'm still doing it. A little baka too 'cause I kept on DL'ing still. How can I resist when I've been late with the latest news -Arashi and some TV dramas. I'm catching up.

I'm also enjoying Naruto -I'm now at ep. 78... I could watch it non-stop only I have to control myself 'cause I have other things to do -online occupation (aibakaland mod) teeheehee.

Ahhh! The released dates of Arashi's concert for their 10th anniversary in Japan from Aug 2009 til Jan 2010... There's no October 2009 schedule... 'could it be their rest month? or for the AAA3? I got so excited... I want to go to Japan... that means I have to save up okane as much as I can and asap. The dates are getting nearer. I'm hoping AAA3 would be possible 'cause it's less expensive than going to Japan. I'd like to visit South Korea... for Gong Yoo -teehee I have a 2nd reason. If there won't be AAA3 this year then Japan it is by Dec 2009 or Jan 2010 for me, of course with my seatmate (literally) in addiction, Gracey, who by the way is more addict than me. I told our 2 other girl friends about the "Japan" visit... I'm hoping they could come with us too. It'll be fun for the 4 of us. They may not watch the concert but at least we get to go overseas again. Oh yeah I'm hoping that I'll get to see the fan girls we've met before... Hope they'd let us join them in visiting Japan. A group would be nice then it wouldn't be that scary hearing Nihongo all around you. I'm looking forward to that event ... and to me saving up asap. Ganbatte!

Oh Oh... I'm looking forward to Nino's... ahhmmm TV special right? the one with  Inoue Mao. I don't know the term, TV Drama or TV special... July it is...

Another oh! I've watched Transformers 2 (revenge of the fallen) together with my 3 girl friends... It's a good movie... special effects, story, hillarious too -I remember hearing myself still laughing when everybody else has stopped laughing. I enjoyed watching it. Something to watch out for is GI Joe... and My Sister's keeper -it's a tearjerker! I won't watch it! teehee it think it is going to be a good film.

sore ja mata!

AnS #128 -wish I have a ready translator

Mar. 31st, 2009 | 12:35 pm
location: PC - home
mood: determined determined
music: Paretto -Arashi

I've just seen last night's Arashi no Shukudaikun #128 through ytec304's streaming link. Thank goodness there are kind people who posts so we can have a ready access on what we've missed. Without them, i'll be continuing missing Arashi's shows.

While watching, I got nose-bleed, teeheehee, I tried my best to understand them... all I relied on was their actions and the few Nihongo words I know. Gaaad I wish I have a ready translator from Nihongo to English. I'm not sure if I really understood their conversations because I end up laughing hard on this episode. Oh Aiba's laugh, I think I'm having it too, his laugh is getting into me (more so -he's contagious). Laughing is really good for your heart, I always end up having a good time while and after watching them.

On this episode, they're trying to sip hot water (100 deg celsius) from a kettle using a long straw. They started from a meter to 3 to 5 to 10 m long straw and each took turns sipping it, from the guest to Arashi members and even to the camera man. Their aim? if they can drink the hot water when sipped using a straw? -how long a straw should be so you can drink a 100 deg celsius water? see I'm having a guessing game here. Thise who tried ended up burning their tounges and said "atsui!" atsui!"Nino was the person to try in the 10m long straw -oh he puffed the straw out as soon as his tongue got burned. Hahaha. Their male guest, a familiar face, but I can't read his kanji'd name. He got me laughing, because of his over-acting on being shot after saying his line (he gets to be shot  at the sound effects of a gun). It supposed to be like one or two gun shots but he ended up acting on an automatic gun/rifle and he really did well going on with his acting with matching falling on the floor while still being shot, he even rolled while dying...

atashi wa Nihongo wo benkyoushimasu I will study Nihongo.  I must! I must! :)

sore ja.

Haruna and male partner on VS Arashi #49 3/29/09

Mar. 30th, 2009 | 08:30 am
location: home PC
mood: giggly giggly
music: Love so Sweet -Arashi

I missed VS Arashi last Saturday so I waited for postings of this show. I was looking forward to it because on the real-time-ending of the show I saw Haruna, a transgender, as the  guest and it seemed fun to watch. Gladly, I was able to watch it now through Ytec304's post for this -streaming link.  Arigatou!

As expected, it's fun to watch. From the very start of the show Haruna had a liking on Sho. I didn't understand all of the Nihongo conversation but as what i've understood (visually), that's how it went. I saw Haruna as her name but was called Ai-chan. It seemed like she was asked by her partner who among the Arashi boys does she like and all the naughty boys didn't look at her to meet her eyes. She mentioned Sho and Matsujun, and about her comment to the other 3, that I didn't understand but the 3 boys surely reacted and everyone's laughing about it. Haruna giggles like a girl.

The first game where Haruna's partner (with a basket on his head) on a walkalator, must catch the falling balls with the help of Haruna's coaching from afar on what number to go/stay so they can wait for the ball to fall on their basket. Haruna shouts of what number to go -nana! nana!, go! go!, roku roku! san! san! with of course a girlish yank. They made a 310 points and Sho commented soonafter that Haruna's male voice came out when he shouted the number 5 -go! go! go! hahaaha hilarious! Nino and Aiba partnered for this round. Nino with the basket on while on the walkalator and Aiba to coach from afar on what number to go/stay for the falling balls. Pink balls are worth 100 points so during the game Aiba did his job on coaching Nino, they ended up with 310 points too. Not bad right? but he still get a smack on the head from Matsujun hehehe. Nino commented that when it comes to the pink ball he didn't know where to go because Aiba didn't give him a number but instead shouted only pink! pink! pink! hehehe that's the funny part -so-so-Aiba! I think I saw Haruna looking at Sho again.

The 2nd game is the rolling coin. Matsujun-Ohno against the guests. Nihongo conversation was too quick for me to grasp. I'll be looking forward to the subbed episode because Matsujun commented here and so did Ohno.  Haruna made a male voice and acted like a man on what it looked like for me, when Matsujun made a comment. Still, it looked like Haruna was enjoying herself (or was she just really this joyful like any other homosexual I know of :) ) team Arashi lost here because of Ohno. A quick game it is, that had the guest commenting -maybe they're looking forward to a longer game. Ohno, the ever sorry man, gave his hontouni sumimasen reply to everyone (on close-up, cute ojisan though).

3rd game -falling pipe. Aiba's the first to catch -male guest to choose the pipes. Aiba got both falling pipes for 120 pts (100 on pipe 1 and 20 on pipe 3) + 100 points more for catching both pipes. Yabai fo Haruna and partner. Next was Haruna -Nino to choose the falling pipes for her. So cute of Haruna's fighting pose, very girly! Cute Nino was talking to the camera man instead of paying attention to Haruna. Haruna called Nino to pay attention and listen to her, she shouted in a girly-ish way. Nino came back saying his listening to her. He did it twice to her, naughty Nino. Haruna was explaining her strategy and it was funny.  She only got 1 pipe for 50 points (pipe 3). While she tried to grab for pipe 2 an otoko voice of ohhh came out of her again (replays and sound effects gave emphasis on it and it sounded like a monster) which Nino notices of too. Sho next -Haruna to choose for the pipe. This is a funny round. Sho is aiming for a double catch no matter what since it's going to give him 100 and while Haruna is to choose the pipe, Sho teasingly looked at her, maybe trying to read what she'll pick. Haruna picked 3 and 4 pipes for Sho while Sho chose to look out for 3 and 4 too. He seemed to have read Haruna's choice and again, too much Nihongo for me, better to wait for the subbed ep :) funny too 'cause the other 4 members are praying that he could catch the pipes. Haruna asked Sho something about Ohno... then pipes fell -Sho got 20 on each pipes, plus a 100 points for catching both pipes. Close match for the guests. 745 for Arashi and 520 for the guests. Male guest next -Matsujun to choose for the pipes. Matsujun has always been good on this round, he really knows how to bluff. He'll make you think you got him but actually he's righ on to you. He chose 1 and 2 pipes. The guest had a good strategy though, but end up grasping pipe 2, only, for a 0 point coz he was not able to grab the falling pipe itself but the pipe 2's metal post.

The guests lost the game (ending score:  745 points for Arashi and 520 points for the guests) and they didn't get their gifts right? (looks like it) it was shown at the end of the show. At the end of the show, it was also shown a fun talk with the guests with Haruna sitting on Sho's lap. Sho cutely reacted on that. Haruna is so funny and cute.

Haruna was adorable, I've seen her before as a guest with V6, I think it's in Utaban. She's the one who always carries a mike and does a concert-performance (lip-synching to someone's recorded performance -i'm not sure if it's from her own concert :) ) when asked to. She had been a guest too in Himitsu no Arashi chan -baby skin test done by Ohno and Sho. There was another HnA clip I saw her with a panel of other female guests. She must be a favorite guest :)

Guest: Haruna Ai & Jinnai Tomonari (just saw from angelamori's post)

to be in a relationship isn't the only way to be in love. One sided love is in a way, a complete lov

Mar. 29th, 2009 | 07:50 pm

... before I end my day.... This line got me (ouch!? not really):

Makoto Segawa to Shizuru :"...To be in a relationship isn't the only way to be in love. One sided love is... in a way, a complete love..."  (Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru -JMovie of Hiroshi Tamaki and Aoi Miyuzuki)

mushy!
...For everyone who has a one sided love towards someone who can't return their love to you, don't (...worry be happy ne) fret, it does not mean an impossible-love thing. I understood the line though it got me, full throttle.

Though I dislike the idea of my one-sided-love towards Nino, what can I do, when it's the truth? I want to ignore that fact, besides I'm not going crazy yet (maybe a little, oops!), so I'm still okay. It's one of the many things that makes me happy and I've decided to hold on to that (will try hard not to go crazy then) 'cause it makes me happy. No offense meant to Arashi, but in some way I've used them. They are my excuse to: tour Asia (as if I've been to a lot, no I haven't, i'm just exaggerating because I'm looking forward to more trips) and learn another language which is Nihongo. I'm thankful for them for these reasons. Besides, I get to meet different kinds of people of different nationality and I'm still looking forward to meeting more. See, I'm ready for another trip because of Arashi that's why I love them, plus the fact that I want to meet Nino again.

It's not only Nino that I have liked a lot, actually there are others  more (lined-up). I'm  really looking forward to see Nino so he can return my one sided-love :) ehh wishful thinking, you girl, get a grip of yourself! :)

...though Nino can't return my feelings (
i'll forever be wishful thinking) ...and that I'm okay with that ...and that's what makes me happy ...that that didn't seem incomplete to me at all ...I'm labeling it as a complete-kind-of-love too  -'cause that's what I've decided on. fufufufufu I wonder 'til when I can hold it dear to me? who knows?

P.S.: Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru  is a cute love story especially to those who like Hiroshi Tamaki of Nodame Cantabile and Love Shuffle. I took a glimpse of Nodame Cantabile's SP, the 2nd part 'cause I forgot to finish watching it. I remember liking Hiroshi Tamaki because he resembled Toma Ikuta for me. I've learned there's going to be a movie so I just needed to finish the 2nd part of the SP.

Arashi on Music Lovers last 3/24/09

Mar. 29th, 2009 | 05:15 am
location: PC- home
music: Beautiful Days -Arashi

Just got the chance to see Music Lovers for myself as suggested by Grace (yuubi) coz Nino looked good in here.  Got a text from her dated Saturday afternoon but only got the chance to see it  this morning :). I usually don't get good points of Nino from her but I ignored those becasue I love Nino so much :)  hahaha  What can I expect from an Ohno wifey, jealous of the OhMiya tandem and blames me of Nino's flirty acts on Ohno, and to which on her Arashi list, Nino is her #5  ... "Me and Nino against the world -nah against Yuubi's words hehehe)" peace yo Yuubi!

... but when she suggested that Nino really looked good on Music Lovers, I just have to believe her, ureshi! she had opened her eyes on Nino's cuteness, hahaha.

Thanks for a_ra_shi community especially to uploaders cause I got it from their video sharing links. I DL'd the performances: believe, medley, and love so sweet. I have to agree, Nino looked good in here, what more can I ask of his cuteness. Also, the 5 boys are all lovable. It's feels like being on the crowd too. There are familiar celebrities in the crowd. Aside from host Nakama Yukie, Ogura-san is on the front row, with the male actor in glasses who's so happy waving at Arashi and their every performances. I surely laughed at his actions, coz it seemed improper of him to be so happy for the boys -He looked like a comedian that had already guested on AnS :). I also saw another comedian which co-starred as the other investigator in Nino's Ryusei.

Oh when Beautiful Days was performed, I rememebered Ishibashi-san of Utaban again who mistook the lyrics on the part of  "...namida porori..."  to "...namida chorori..."  (oh I hope i'm not wrong, I'm relying on what i've heard when he naughtily sang it on Utaban during Arashi's latest guesting on their show). Anyway, he had always sang arashi arashi oh yeah instead of arashi arashi for dream :)

Can't get enough of them, really. I was switching through my MMA-marathon-watching-mode and converting these videos to 3gp so I can store it on my phone. uwaaa! love them. I've just put PVs of Believe and Kumorinochi Kasei so my phone gets to be updated on Arashi's PV too. Happy phone again! I lost my phone cable and I've deprived my phone of those recent PVs. Now, I can always see them on my phone.

long been gone? i missed ARASHI

Mar. 4th, 2009 | 02:25 pm
location: PC/home
mood: blank blank
music: arashi's believe

exactly how long have I been gone?
It feels like I've been gone for a long long time.
Well I missed a lot of Arashi-related-things. Still catching up.
I've just seen the full version of Arashi's Believe and Ohno's song from Uta no Oniisan.

I'm now tagging Believe MV in my list of favorite Arashi MVs, not to mention I've liked the song first time hearing its full version at Nino's Baystorm. I like the MV,  it kept me smiling. Each of the boys showed their cuteness in black and white theme of their clothes. I have to say Nino's mecha kawaii in his hair -he's making me fall for him over and over again. Aiba carried well a plaid upper garment (it reminded me though of our local comic superhero "gagamboy" -no it maybe just a coincidence because my oneesan is developing a crush on my Aiba and she even mentioned he dances well like our local celebrity Vhong Navarro who played gagamboy in a TV series... and I've connected now the plaid garment-gagamboy-vhong navarro with Aiba) -anyway, I should say gorgeous! Oh Ohno, carried his clothes well too. I do not like his outfit but since it's Ohno I forgave the person who dressed him -I don't know but maybe Ohno's simplicity made it appear to be not too flashy~.  Sho is so manly doing his rap parts, how would I describe it, hmmm manly-cute. I didn't like the thin bow or ribbon on MatsuJun's outfit but he was able to carry himself. In totality, the MV is sugoi!

Ohno's solo MV (song from UnO 's opening theme) is mecha kakkoi. He is cute too. Why do I see him as an ojiisan? heehee... the cute ojiisan... I see his transition from a cute boy to an adult to a family man and to an ojiisan... my mind could be playing different things when I watched his MV.

woh, watching them makes me remember that they are worth watching for. I love them, they made my day. I really did miss them.

I planned to post this after a month's time as my late reaction is a disgrace to the arashi community heehee but I decided to post it anyway.

My 'neesan is developing a crush on Aiba! I knew it! She liked it though I have to force her to watch my Arashi videos... But she knows it too that I'm not giving Aiba away heehee. She even told me to concentrate on Nino alone for she's starting to like Aiba. As for my mom, she really does like Ohno. She even remembers he's the leader hahaha. She likes the goody-good looks of Ohno plus the fact that he's talented. It is a major plus points to my mom and she had  also seen him act in MAOU. Oh she was impressed with Ohno's acting ability ~so that's why Ohno's her favorite. She's aware about Uta no Oniisan too ... Oh my family... they find me corny but they didn't realize they are already onto the boys too, hahaha.

of Philippines and asian drama/movies...

Feb. 12th, 2009 | 02:35 pm
mood: sleepy sleepy

After learning that Matsujun's having a new drama this coming April as a Fil-Jap <learned it from yuubi and read it from doramaholic too> made me imagine how's he going to portray the role. Is he going to speak in Tagalog? will Philippines be mentioned? how would Philippines/Filipino be played or act out in a Japanese point of view? will it somehow be linked to ww2 or the Japayukis? also, is there a possibility that he'll visit the Philippines (-and the boys willl learn about it too and the 5 of them will come here to hold a concert blah blah, me again wishful thinking... why not, right? hahaha)... Movies/dramas here in the Philippines mention our ASIAN-neighbor-country and we use characters too which are half of this and that (of ASIAN human-breed, mind me :) ) I wonder if they (ASIAN-neighbors) get jumpy too, like me, when their country gets mentioned. Well I just remembered that Philippines was indeed mentioned in some asian dramas/movies too but just for just little screen time. Like in Maggie Q's movie as an assassin in Naked Weapon, Philippines was mentioned because it is where her next target is. Then that's it. Too bad I don't remember the others. Much air time for Philippines was given to a CDrama I've seen (but stopped watching it because it has too many episodes and I got bored too); the title is To Grow with Love and the Chinese/HongKong movie Driving Miss Wealthy (it was on my must-see-list-of-movie but I've only just watched it today to see for myself if Philippines was really mentioned).

**********************************************
To Grow with love - CDrama: Myolie Wu as Tina Ho and Andy Hui as Daniel Dai.
I'm not familiar with the actors but if I remember right, Daniel Dai was with Vic Zhou in Silence as the brother of the mute girl (who's Korean).
genre: romantic comedy, I guess :)

Philippines was mentioned ~ureshi. The father of the main character (chubby girl) is a businessman in the Philippines but most of the setting was in HongKong. If I remembered right, it was not clearly stated that they are Filipino-Chinese but since they are in the Philippines they're probably among the Filipino-Chinese families in the Philippines. Also, the time Philippines would be mentioned in this drama is because of the piña fiber, which the main guy (a clothes designer) uses and that makes his clothes precious and expesnive too. Well our piña-fiber-made barong tagalogs are expensive too, that explains it. I'll try to finish this drama when I get the will to watch it again.

**********************************************

Driving Miss Wealthy - CMovie/HKmovie: Lau Ching-Wan as Mario, Gigi Leung as Jennifer.
genre: romantic comedy, I guess so too :)

Philippines, Filipinos, Tagalog are all in this movie. I was surprised. Funny too. Jennifer only wanted a Filipino driver (I wonder why) that's why Mario has to pretend to be of Filipino descent as requested by Jennifer's father in order to hire him too. There's comedy all through out. Mario was trying to learn Tagalog too, maybe in case Jennifer asks for a Tagalog phrase. Like "kumain ka na ba?" (have you already eaten) he said it like "kuma-yin-kalaba?". Another one is "magkano itong gulay?" (how much is this vegetable? -cabbage was written) and he said it as "maka-lo i-long gu-layi?"

There's an elevator scene wherein there are 2 Filipinas with them. The 2 Filipina mistaken Mario as Filipino so they tried to converse with Mario in Tagalog. One Filipina asked him "uy gwapo. nakita na ba kita noon (hey handsome <not the literal meaning>. Have we met before?) The other lady asked too that when he gets a free time if can they meet and have a date (in Tagalog too) ... Jennifer is waiitng for MArio to reply to the ladies who just asked him a question. Since he didn't have a choice what he said to the 2 lady was: "ma-ka-no i-long gu-la-yi?" and it sounded funny to the 2 Filipina of course. He didn't stop there, he even added "ku-ma-yin ka na-ba?"... "ma-tu-log kana" (go to sleep) ... crazy and funny scene hahaha. When the main characters are left in the elevator, Jennifer asked about the conversation and he said "oh nothing they just said I'm handsome...like Louis Koo (whose poster happens to be in the elevator too)". Jennifer agreed then that he's the Louis Koo of the Philippines.

If there's a foreign movie that mentions lots about the Philippines thismust probably it.

To add to that, the customers for Mario and Jennifer's business (slimming tablet) are our very own Filipinas (probably overseas workers, at their usual meeting palce to unwind when they're off-duty I guess). They put up a stall in the middle of the crowd. They were noticed because Mario again was mistaken to be Filipino so fellow Filipinos gathered around them. He called customers "maganda" (beautiful) so they believed he really is Filipino. Their market motto is that Filipinos don't deceive Filipinos.

Well, Filipinos are stereotyped to be brown skinned (mulatto ne? actually we also have the fair, med brown, dark and darker skinned Filipinos) and servants (sadly true but we still have to face everyone chin-up! let's not be offended)

location: PC/home (about to be kicked out now)
mood: enthralled enthralled
music: stand by me -ninomiya kazunari's version (c/o nattora's post)

Yatta!
Ureshi!
I was able to listen to DJ Ninomiya Kazunari. Now I can sleep feeling happy... need to let my oneesan use the PC.
Arashi's Believe from Sho's movie was played. It really is a different feeling listening to Nino's radio program, I really feel close to him/them (Arashi, who else), like the program played is just from our local station hehehe. Still a bit high from reading reports on Sho's premier at the NYCC too. Good reports. Arigatou gozaimasu for letting us know what happened ~wish i could also be there.
Oh and Nino had a version of Mika Nakashima's Orion (I almost put I Believe, i've heard too much of the "believe" word plus Arashi's Believe) ~the insert song on Nino's drama Ryusei no Kizuna. Nice version, I was singing along too. He does his version when he feels like too huh, anyway I like listening to his own version of any song.
Thanks nattora for posting Nino's version of Stand by me, i'm listening to it again (see I love listening Nino's version of any song hihihi).

oyasumi nassai.
I can now sleep with a smile -unlike 2 Sundays ago.

...as always, I can't get enough from watching all interesting Asian movies. From weekend (since I can still snatch some time to watch online, but always end up being shooed away, still got a chance to watch online) till now I've watched Crush and Blush, Sweet Rain, Azumi, Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon, and Dance of the Dragon. Adding to that dragon theme wahehehe, I'm also trying to finish Tiger and Dragon, a JDrama, which I'm enjoying.
I've tried to watch other animes I've missed too. Hanamichi Sakuragi of  Slamdunk, his personalty reminds me of Alfred's character in Ghostfighter, that's why I visited and watched some episode of Slamdunk too. Naruto, I missed him, he has grown in the latest Naruto episodes so I watched some of the earlier episodes and end up watching Naruto the movie. Bleach, Ichigou Kurosaki, this one I want to watch from the start and I have to say that I'm loving it. Life is a boat of Rie Fu is the ending them of this anime. I've heard the song before and I know that it is for the anime Bleach but I didn't have the time to watch this anime then yet. Since I got interested with Bleach, let's see if I can get to season 2.

Sore ja mata.

tiger and dragon

I'm watching tiger and dragon. Nagase Tomoya and Okada Junichi are the main casts. They do Rakugo here, a traditonal japanese comedy-telling on a stage in front of an audience. To tell your comedy you have to be in a robe (or a kimono for men?), you sit on a pillow too (kneel-sit style? i'm making up my own words). I thought it's a boring JDrama becuase of the rakugo theme but it turned out to be funny and I enjoyed it. I've learned about rakugo that there are no props needed. Just you and your story. That you really have to be talented in telling a story, and skillfull too to make your audience listen to your story until the end, of course it has to be humorous enough as to not bore your audience. I now appreciated comedy tellers of rakugo, it's hard to make people laugh without using slapstick and I bet it's harder to do comedy without being slapstick too.
Honestly, rakugo style of comedy made me laugh too (not because i'm shallow but because it's funny) just by listening to the storyteller. You just have to listen intently and let your imagination play -the next thing you know it's like what you see on TV use your imagination that is.

CJ7 (asian movie)

Jan. 28th, 2009 | 08:13 am
location: office
mood: exhausted exhausted

Yesterday, when I arrived home from work I watched TV instead of doing my usual hobby of internet browsing. I was browsing through cable channels and I saw NHK's children's show which is similar to Ohno's Uta no Oniisan. So nice to see kodomo playing around and enjoying their play...so much more they are being seen on TV. I bet they think they're just playing, not aware that they are being exploited (kidding), so innocent that they're all fun to watch...
I still don't know what to watch. I finally came to AXN channel and they're playing CJ7 (Stephen Chow movie with a kid). I find it interesting so I stayed on watching. scene was:
Stephen Chow is boasting to his co-employees (they're in a construction site) that his son got a 100% score in his test. Some are saying their hurrays while some do not believe him. He boasted it to his boss (the fat guy from Shaolin Soccer and S. Kung Fu). His boss replied that Stephen Chow's son is a cheater, that his own son is smarter but never got a perfect score, he even notices that the real grade is zero, a 1 and 0 was only added to make it look like 100. Stephen Chow and his boss got into a fight for this, (slapstick argument, but funny in a way) and Stephen lost his job for this. Stephen confronted his son, who's about to go to school with his small furry friend -CJ7. The kid did get zero but the reason he did it is because he doesn't want his dad to get upset. They argued like they're just playmates ~the kid wanted to be left alone. The dad told him "get a score higher than 60 then i'll leave you alone"'. The kid agreed "'i'll show you, so you can leave me alone"'... the boy went to school and took his test and magically he did get a score above 60, so he was so happy and excited to show it to his dad.... on the other hand dad went back to the construction site and apologized to his boss for what happened awhile ago -that he wanted to go back to work becuase he has a son to feed... the boss apologized to him too... so work work work then an accident happened... the dad fell off from the building they are constructing and died at the hospital... while the boy was so happy for the score he got from his test, he was fetched by a teacher to go to the hospital... the kid holding his test paper from afar can see the boss, his teacher, and the doctor ~whispers that the man died and there's nothing to be done, the teacher is so worried about the kid... i was expecting the kid to cry from that scene but he didn't. The teacher (the dad has a crush on her) accompanied the kid to his home. She don't know how to explain it to the kid... she tried to explain of the mishaps, that there are things way beyond our control, while fighting her tears in explaining that his dad died... the kid slowly cried while listening to his teacher. I was moved into tears, seeing a kid cry in front of you like that is hard, like it was your fault in making him cry. Like you're the one who took away his happiness. While watching, i was even murmuring "kasi you didn't have to dare each other awhile ago, see what happened... "  to continue the story the kid politely shooed his teacher out of the house and said '" my father won't leave me alone by myself. he will not do that to me. teacher i want to rest now, i'm tired I still have school tomorrow'" he went to bed while crying and sobbing tthat his father won't do that to him...

I cried with him too. Who wouldn't. Good thing it's ending is a good one, the next day the dad went home alive  as if nothing happened. It was CJ7 who gave his life to the dad. The dad went back to life, which the kid needs more and CJ7 became a non-living thing, after giving his energy to the dad. Still the kid is expecting for CJ7's return that he still do what he and CJ7 used to do, in case CJ7 comes back. It is a feel-good movie afterall.

No Baystorm for me last night

Jan. 26th, 2009 | 06:15 am
location: sulking room :)
mood: frustrated frustrated
music: believe

I was not able to listen to Nino's Baystorm last night. KeyHole TV was not accessible at the time I checked it. I even saw Believe being played in their website. I was so frustrated, I have no means of listening to it  live-on-air. I was so looking forward to listening to Nino again -I told myself to not miss it all-year-round. I had to listen to him because I didn't get a dose of ARASHI this weekend. I gave up 5 minutes before the show ends. I was not able to use the PC this weekend (because of oneesan's post-grad thesis) but I'll be complete if I at least was able to listen to Nino. I can't explain my frustration. I shut the computer down just when it's my turn to have the PC all by myself. Sorry Nino-chan, I tried everything, it was KeyHole TV who betrayed me. Now I have to look for alternative ways in listening to baystorm.
